Dejan Breski
Tennis Professional / FounderWith over 17 years of coaching expertise and a distinguished playing career, Dejan is a valuable asset to Cayman’s tennis community. Born and raised in Serbia, he competed at the national Junior Tennis Tour, achieving a top-20 ranking in both the U16 and U18 categories. His passion for the sport led him to earn a degree in Tennis Technique from the College of Sports & Health, where he later became a guest lecturer, specializing in junior psychological preparation, tennis tactics, methodology, and technical development.
Dejan’s global coaching journey began in 2013 when he joined The Royal Club at The Ritz Carlton, Bahrain, as a Tennis Professional. During his tenure, he pioneered the Club’s Junior Academy, introduced the Adult Beginner Tennis Class, and developed High-Performance Clinics for junior and adult players. His leadership extended beyond coaching—he successfully organized and supervised Junior Tournaments and Adult Leagues, collaborating with esteemed sponsorship brands such as Porsche, Oakley, and L’Oréal.
In 2015, Dejan brought his expertise to Grand Cayman, taking on the role of Tennis Supervisor at The Ritz Carlton. Here, he refined his skills in managing a dynamic tennis department, overseeing a diverse range of programs including clinics, camps, corporate leagues, and pro-shop operations. Passionate about community engagement, he has spearheaded special events and pop-up tennis activities, fostering a vibrant tennis culture while expertly steering the department’s business development and marketing strategies.
After his tenure as a coach at The Ritz-Carlton, Dejan founded Seven Mile Tennis, a premier tennis company dedicated to providing top-tier training programs and fostering a vibrant tennis culture in the Cayman Islands. His deep-rooted connections within the local tennis community and his ongoing commitment to junior development have solidified his reputation as a trusted leader in the sport. Through his expertise and passion, he continues to shape the future of tennis in the Cayman Islands.
Neil Fernandez
Tennis Professional & Pickleball SpecialistWith more than 14 years of international coaching experience, Neil has dedicated his career to helping players of all ages and levels reach their full potential. Originally from the Philippines, Neil captained the San Beda College Tennis Team and graduated with academic distinction before pursuing his passion for player development. He is a Professional Tennis Registry–certified High-Performance and Junior Development Coach, and since 2019, a Professional Pickleball Registry–certified coach.
Neil’s coaching journey began in 2011 at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Oman, where he introduced programs such as Cardio Tennis and Kids’ Tennis that brought new energy to the local tennis community. He also coached the Oman National Junior Team, guiding players who achieved top rankings in the Gulf region and contributing to the country’s grassroots tennis initiatives.
In 2015, Neil brought his expertise to The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, where he co-founded the Junior Tennis Academy and integrated tennis-specific fitness into youth programs. His commitment to player growth extended across all levels—from running beginner classes and high-performance junior clinics to creating engaging adult programs. Recognized for his dedication, he received the Ritz-Carlton 5-Star Employee Award in 2023 for his excellence on and off the court.
Since becoming pickleball-certified in 2019, Neil has played a leading role in expanding the sport’s presence in Cayman. He has organized clinics, leagues, and tournaments that have drawn strong participation, making pickleball a vibrant part of the racquet sports community. His ability to balance technical development with fun, competitive experiences has made him a sought-after coach among both tennis and pickleball players.
Today, as part of Seven Mile Tennis, Neil continues his mission of inspiring and developing players. Whether working with aspiring juniors, competitive adults, or those new to the game, his energy, expertise, and passion ensure a positive and lasting impact on every player’s journey.
